Sophia Nguyen will guide you through Vipassana meditation, one of the oldest Buddhist practices designed to enhance mindfulness. In Pali, an ancient Buddhist language, “Vipassana” means “seeing things as they really are.” This technique involves observing your thoughts and emotions without judgment or attachment. Rather than controlling the experience, you observe your inner self.
The goals of this practice are to quiet your mind, focus on the present, and accept your thoughts, emotions, and sensations for what they truly are. Through Vipassana, you can reduce regrets by dwelling less on the past, worrying less about the future, and responding to situations based on reality rather than worries or preconceived notions. We offer Spiritual Coaching Zoom Sessions: Some clients wish to continue having Sophia coach them as they have found her encouragement and guidance extremely valuable for them.
Sometimes we offer an opportunity to participate in a Temazcal, meaning “house of heat”, sweat lodge that has indigenous origins in ancient Mexico. This ceremony is led by a Shaman in our area. For about three hours the Shaman will take you through the four purifying elements with chanting, music such as drumming and adding more heat. Shamanic healing can help issues from physical to emotional. Some participants release and clear past traumas, restore their emotional balance, and feel more open
and free regarding their future.
